Welcome to the Renmore Residents’ Association

Welcome to the Renmore Residents’ Association, founded in the 1960s. The current committee of enthusiastic volunteers was formed in April 2025, building on the solid foundations laid by previous committees over the years.

Our aim is to represent and support the Renmore community by working to improve the physical, social and environmental wellbeing of our area.

We’re committed to listening to residents and collaborating with Galway City Council and local councillors to maintain and enhance our neighbourhood.

Keeping residents updated on local news and developments is a key focus for us. Part of this process involves updating the website to ensure that the information provided here is accurate and comprehensive. As this is a voluntary project, progress may be slow, so please bear with us. If you have any feedback or suggestions on information that could be included, particularly in relation to activities running in the local area, we would love your input.

Get Involved

The Renmore Residents’ Association is a membership organisation open to all residents of Renmore. Membership is on a per-household basis, and members are entitled to a vote at general meetings of the Association and to participate in events run by the Association. Please get in touch by social media or by e-mail to renmoreresidentsassociation@gmail.com if you would like to become a member.

The term of the current committee ends in April 2026. Expressions of interest to get involved in the committee after that date should be sent by e-mail to renmoreresidentsassociation@gmail.com

In the meantime, if you would like to get involved in the work of any of our subcommittees, please contact us by e-mail, social media or WhatsApp, we would love to hear from you.

Stay Connected

Keeping residents updated on local news and developments is a priority for us. As well as this website, we are active on Facebook and Instagram, and have two dedicated WhatsApp groups – the RRA Group for Association-related news and updates, and the Community Noticeboard group for other local information. We can also be reached by e-mail at renmoreresidentsassociation@gmail.com

We recognise, however, that not all residents use these platforms. As such, we endeavour to make all particularly significant updates or information available and accessible to the community in person or through posters, leaflets and fliers. If you or a neighbour would like to receive significant community updates directly to your door, please let us know and we will do what we can to facilitate this.
